The Koto-gata, or Chokuto style, features a consistent diameter along the entire length of the shinai, creating a heavier tip.
This design closely mimics the balance of an authentic Japanese sword, making it ideal for practitioners who favour strong single strikes. With a reinforced bamboo tip, it’s durable enough for regular keiko practice and well-suited for competition use.
Each shinai is crafted from three pieces of madake sourced from the same bamboo, enhancing its balance to an exceptional level.

You can choose either a bamboo-only option or an assembled shinai with a Gin shikumi tsuka or W shikumi tsuka for this premium shinai. If you select an assembled option, please specify the size of the tsuka you need; otherwise, a default 39 tsuka will be assembled with your shinai.
Note: Tsuba and tsubatome are not included.
